One More Time

Monday 13 February 2017 Tributes were given to Dave Evans who passed away a few weeks ago and had played drums with One More Time for 26 years at The Brewery Tap alongside being a band member of the Excelsior Marching Band. The drums this evening were played by Dave’s best friend Jerry Wood.

Trumpet – Max Emmons
Clarinet – Peter Smith
Trombone –  Les Dyos
Keyboard – Damian Murphy
Bass – Kenneth Aims
Drums – Jerry Wood

Favourite tunes were Poor Butterfly, 1916 written by Raymond Hubbell for The Big Show at New York Hippodrome, sung by Sophie Bernard; After You’ve Gone, Louis Armstrong 1929; Rose Room in Sunny Roseland, 1917 Art Hickman, and revived by Duke Ellington in 1932.
