Griffin Park Jazz Club has been running since 2003 when Bryan Clark had the idea of bringing jazz bands to his beloved Brentford Football ground. He continues to run the club which takes place on the 2nd Monday of each month.
Graham Carter runs the bars at Brentford FC, another great supporter of the club, he’s been here 28 years. The bar gets busy on match days especially since promotion to the Championship League and he particularly enjoys working jazz night for the great atmosphere and good bands.
Entry of £6 is charged and all receipts go to the band. Everyone is welcome, there’s a friendly atmosphere, space to dance at the front or the back of the room, and a raffle in the interval. Entrance to The Hive can be found at Braemar Road, postcode TW8 0NT.

Is it possible for future jazz dates to be included in this blog please?

Hmm, yes I’ll see if I can work out how to do that at some point.. In the meantime though the jazz events are always on the 2nd Monday of the month. See you later.

Bob Dwyer celebrates his 80th birthday in early February. I know Bob well from School in the 40’s and 50’s, from National Service in Cyprus in the 60’s and in the Meadonian Football Club in the 70’s and 80’s and met him at your Club in recent times. But have I got his correct phone number? No! Are you able to give me the correct number?
It seems that some numbers given on the Internet are incorrect.
Thanks in anticipation.

Hello Jim
I’ll forward your message to Bryan who runs the club and hopefully he’ll get back in touch with you regarding the correct phone number.
Thanks for getting in touch, Nicola
