Monday 13 February 2017 Tributes were given to Dave Evans who passed away a few weeks ago and had played drums with One More Time for 26 years at The Brewery Tap alongside being a band member of the Excelsior Marching Band. Monday 13 June 2016 Max Emmons and One More Time returned for their second visit to Griffin Park Jazz Club in 2016 with another varied set from their huge repertoire of Classic jazz with some surprises as well as more familiar sounds. As ever with their selections, we learned that many of the great standards of later years had their roots in 1920’s and 30’s original scores. Monday 14 March 2016 Max Emmons and his band One More Time gave us all a foot-stomping evening of music last night. These great musicians have such a large repertoire, we were treated to a pick and mix of New Orleans jazz and blues including Sugar Blues, a King Oliver number; Freight Train Blues recorded by Trixie Smith; Gypsy Love Song, sung by Mario Lanza in the film The Fortune Teller and the wonderful No Moon at All. 13 October 2014 Last night Max Emmons and his band One More Time entertained the audience at The Hive while the rain poured outside. Max has actually been playing every Tuesday evening in the Brewery Tap on Catherine Wheel Lane in Brentford since 1990, and is a regular at Griffin Park Jazz Club too.
